For generations, this property has been anchored by the families who called it home, notably the keepers of Pelham Schoolhouse Number 5 and the Davidson Family. Since 1970, the Hall Family has continued this tradition, now entering their second generation as caretakers of the homestead.
The artifacts and stories held within these walls and on this property reflect the lives and experiences of those who have come before. Each piece retained by the Davidson and Hall families carries significance, telling a story of resilience, community, and heritage. As we prepare for the opening of Rowanwood, we will honour the past by integrating these cherished pieces into our displays, ensuring they are recognized and appreciated in their rightful place.
